The smell of life’s work…

my life's work

I think about legacy and life’s work way more than a squirrel probably should.  More so now that I’m seeing more and more grey hairs where once there were brown.  I know I’m an Eastern Grey Squirrel and grey comes with who I am.  But this grey makes the regular grey look brown.  Trust me, read the last sentence again, it makes total sense.

Some days the legacy looks good, some days not so good.  My problem is I always forget that you can’t judge a legacy while standing nuts deep in it. Perspective is the true judge of a life’s work.

Perspective isn’t exactly a friend when you have the attention span of a squirrel.

And be sure to check out the latest Bob the Squirrel and Squirrelosophy collections: at one point, the kid had A LOT of potential and that’s one way of doing it along with all the other Bob the Squirrel books… if you haven’t already.
